Wholesale Marketplace for Mobile Devices
A platform for trading phones and other mobile devices between wholesalers and retailers. The operator's own offers and partner inventory, stock reservation, order splitting across suppliers, and semantic search for device models.
The task
Build a marketplace for wholesale trade in phones and other mobile devices that combines the operator’s own offers with partner goods.
The trading model
A large wholesaler acts both as a seller and as the marketplace operator. Partners list their own offers, and buyers place orders covering goods from several suppliers.
The system accounts for partner stores, markups and stock levels.
Order processing
A single order is split automatically into sub-orders by supplier. Price, reservation and confirmation status are stored for each of them.
We implemented reservation against an order and semantic search across device models. The marketplace ties one shared buyer interface to the separate offers and warehouses of its participants.
